About The Opportunity

We are hiring an on-site Java Backend Developer in India to join a high-velocity engineering team focused on designing, developing, and operating mission-critical backend services. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building resilient APIs, optimizing database interactions, and contributing to engineering excellence in an Agile environment.Role & Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain scalable Java backend services using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
Build and consume RESTful APIs; ensure performance, security and backwards compatibility for integrations.
Implement persistence layers using Hibernate/JPA and optimise SQL queries for high-throughput systems.
Write unit and integration tests; participate in CI/CD pipelines and automated build workflows (Maven/Gradle).
Diagnose and resolve production issues—profiling, logging, and performance tuning to meet SLA targets.
Collaborate with product, QA and DevOps teams; participate in code reviews, design discussions and sprint ceremonies.

Qualifications

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to code quality and a focus on operational excellence.
