Description
As an IT professional responsible for managing IT asset inventory and providing desktop support, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - **IT Asset & Inventory Management**: - Maintain and update IT asset inventory including laptops, desktops, network devices, software licenses, and peripherals. - Track the entire asset lifecycle from procurement to decommissioning. - Coordinate with procurement and finance teams for asset tagging, disposal, and audits. - Conduct regular physical verification and reconciliation of IT assets. - Prepare and share periodic inventory and compliance reports. - **Device Management & Security**: - Manage and monitor all devices using MDM solutions. - Deploy and enforce security policies, software updates, and compliance checks through MDM. - Administer and monitor antivirus solutions to ensure endpoint security. - Assist in vulnerability management, patch compliance, and endpoint protection audits. - Basic understanding of VPN Management and Sophos Firewall is a plus. - **Desktop Support & Troubleshooting**: - Provide Level 1 and Level 2 desktop support for Windows, macOS, and basic Linux systems. - Perform OS, software, and driver installations, configurations, and upgrades. - Troubleshoot hardware, network, and software-related issues promptly. - Support end-users in resolving common IT issues. - Escalate critical incidents to relevant teams and follow up until resolution. In terms of qualifications, you should have: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 2-4 years of experience in IT support and asset management. - Good understanding of MDM tools, antivirus solutions, and IT compliance frameworks. - Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, macOS, and common business applications. - Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills. Additionally, preferred knowledge includes: - Experience with ticketing systems like Jira, Freshservice, or ServiceNow. - Familiarity with Active Directory and user management. - Basic understanding of networking and ITIL processes.
