Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an IT Sales Intern, based in Pune. The selected intern will assist with identifying and generating sales leads, managing client accounts, and supporting business development initiatives. Day-to-day tasks will include leveraging IT tools to enhance sales and lead generation processes, maintaining relationships with potential customers, and delivering effective communication to clients. The intern will also contribute to achieving strategic sales goals while gaining hands-on experience in IT-driven sales processes.


1. Lead Generation & Calling

Make daily outbound calls to prospective clients.

Follow up on inbound leads from website, campaigns, or referrals.

Reach out via phone, WhatsApp, and email as per the outreach sequence.

2. Qualification of Leads

Understand customer requirements, pain points, and budget.

Identify decision-makers and assess buying readiness.

Qualify leads using BANT / relevant criteria.

3. Product Pitching

Present IT solutions (ERP, CRM, SaaS, software services) in a clear and simple manner.

Customize pitch based on industry or client challenges.

Explain pricing, features, and value proposition.

4. CRM & Data Management

Update all call logs, lead status, and follow-ups in CRM.

Maintain accurate and clean customer databases.

Track daily activities: calls made, leads generated, demos booked.

5. Coordination with Sales/Tech Team

Schedule demos for the sales/pre-sales team.

Share client requirements with technical team for proposals.

Coordinate on follow-ups and closures.

6. Email & WhatsApp Communication

Send follow-up emails, proposals, and product brochures.

Respond to queries from prospects in a timely manner.

7. Target Achievement

Meet daily/weekly call and lead generation targets.

Work towards monthly revenue or demo targets.

8. Market & Account Research

Research companies, industries, and decision-makers before calling.

Stay updated on product updates and competitor offerings.

9. Reporting

Prepare daily and weekly activity reports.

Update manager on pipeline progress and challenges.

10. Customer Relationship Building

Maintain a professional tone and build rapport over calls.

Ensure consistent, timely follow-ups.

Maintain customer satisfaction even if lead timing is long-term.

Additional information

Stipend Structure:

Fixed pay: ₹ 10,000 - 15,000 /month

Incentive pay: ₹ 1,000 - 15,000 /month
