IT Process Automation Manager

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute the IT Process Automation roadmap in alignment with business and IT objectives.
• Identify automation opportunities across enterprise IT and business workflows to reduce manual workload and enhance process reliability.
  

Team & Delivery Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of automation developers and analysts.
• Oversee resource allocation, task planning, and timely delivery of automation solutions.
  

Technical Ownership

• Direct the design, development, and deployment of automation workflows using ServiceNow Workflow Studio or similar ITPA tools.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and best-practice development standards.
• Utilize scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for advanced workflow logic and integration.
  

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with IT operations, application teams, and business units to understand needs and translate them into scalable automation solutions.
• Present automation strategy, ROI insights, and project updates to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
  

Continuous Optimization

• Monitor automation performance, address gaps, and enhance solutions for improved scalability and reliability.
• Stay updated with advancements in process automation, AI-driven workflows, and orchestration technologies.
  

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
• 4+ years in IT automation and 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Hands-on experience with ITPA platforms, especially ServiceNow Workflow Studio.
• Strong scripting proficiency: Python and PowerShell.
• Deep understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise IT environments.
• Proven experience mentoring automation teams and managing cross-functional project delivery.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to present automation strategy and ROI metrics to leadership.
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience applying AI/ML for intelligent automation use cases.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), networking concepts, cybersecurity fundamentals, and virtualization (VMware, Citrix).
• Certifications:
