Job Summary

The Senior IT Business Analyst will be a crucial link between the business, compliance, and IT development teams, specializing in Regulatory Reporting within the financial or capital markets domain. This role requires a strong background in requirements analysis, system design, and testing, along with mandatory proficiency in the Japanese language to support international stakeholders and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory Expertise & Analysis (Mandatory):
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Regulatory Reporting requirements (e.g., global reporting standards, local regulations) for the relevant domain.
• Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the business domain (e.g., Investment Banking, Asset Management, or specific financial products) and its systems.
• Analyze new and changing regulatory requirements, assessing their impact on current systems and business processes.
• Requirements Elicitation & Documentation (Mandatory):
• Elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements and functional specifications.
• Create and Validate Use Cases to model current and future state processes and system interactions.
• Develop Functional Test Cases and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with regulatory and business requirements.
• Manage the requirements lifecycle, including change control and traceability.
• Stakeholder Management & Communication (Mandatory):
• Japanese Language Proficiency (Mandatory): Act as the key liaison between Japan-based business users, compliance teams, and the offshore development team. Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking Japanese for effective communication and document review.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings with diverse stakeholders (Business, IT, Compliance, QA).

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, specifically supporting financial applications or regulatory projects.
• Language: Mandatory proficiency in the Japanese language (ideally JLPT N2 or higher).
• Domain: Proven domain knowledge in financial services/capital markets, particularly in areas subject to regulatory compliance.
• Regulatory: Direct, hands-on experience with Regulatory Reporting projects and systems implementation.
• Analysis: Expertise in documenting use cases and functional requirements, and validating them with stakeholders.
• Testing: Solid experience in defining and validating acceptance criteria and creating functional test cases.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹120,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
