Job Description

Inventory Manager The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing the ordering, storage, and distribution of raw materials, finished garments, trims, and accessories. They ensure accurate stock levels, optimize inventory control processes, and minimize shortages and excesses. The ideal candidate has experience in fashion or apparel production and a deep understanding of garment-specific inventory challenges. --- Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management: * Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels for raw materials, trims, packaging, and finished goods. * Perform regular cycle counts and coordinate full physical inventory audits. Procurement & Replenishment: * Collaborate with procurement and production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials. * Generate purchase requisitions based on forecasted demand and production schedules. Stock Accuracy & Reporting: * Reconcile physical inventory with system records and investigate discrepancies. * Prepare and analyze inventory reports (daily/weekly/monthly) for management. Logistics & Coordination: * Liaise with suppliers, production units, and logistics providers to track shipments and returns. * Plan and coordinate storage, movement, and delivery of materials and finished products. Process Improvement: * Identify inefficiencies in inventory workflows and propose improvements. * Implement inventory control policies and best practices. Team Leadership: * Supervise inventory/warehouse staff; provide training on procedures and safety. * Monitor team performance and ensure compliance with SOPs. Qualifications: Education & Experience: * Bachelor’s degree * 1–4 years of experience in inventory or warehouse management, preferably in the garment or textile industry. * Familiarity with garment production materials (fabrics, trims, packaging, etc.). Skills * Strong analytical and organizational skills. * Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting. * Excellent communication and leadership abilities. * Knowledge of import/export documentation is a plus. Working Conditions * Office and warehouse environments. * May require occasional travel to manufacturing units, vendors, or logistics hubs. * Ability to lift and handle materials (if needed for physical inventory checks).
