Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented

Internal Auditor

who is either a

Qualified Chartered Accountant

or has

written the CA Final examination

. The ideal candidate will have strong

articleship experience in statutory audits and risk-based internal audits

. Experience or knowledge of

SOX compliance

is preferred. The candidate should be capable of

leading medium-sized audits independently

, identifying control gaps, and providing actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and lead risk-based internal audits across business functions.
• Conduct process walkthroughs, identify control gaps, and suggest improvements.
• Prepare audit work papers, reports, and documentation in line with professional standards.
• Perform testing of internal controls, including SOX compliance testing where applicable.
• Communicate findings with process owners and assist in the development of remediation plans.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for data collection, walkthroughs, and control validations.
• Monitor implementation of agreed audit recommendations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of audit techniques, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  

Required Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (Qualified or CA Final completed).
• Strong articleship experience in:
• Statutory audits of mid to large-sized clients.
• Risk-based internal audits across various sectors.
• Working knowledge or exposure to SOX audits (preferred).
• Understanding of internal controls, business processes, and risk assessment methodologies.
  

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to plan and execute audits independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; experience with data analytics tools is an added advantage.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting abilities.
  

Experience

• Freshly qualified CA or up to 2 years of post-qualification experience.
• Relevant articleship experience is mandatory.
