Responsibilities and Duties

Job Summary:
The Insurance Manager is responsible for the overall management and administration of insurance operations within the company. This includes supervising staff, developing and implementing policies and procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Team Management:

  • Supervise and lead a team of insurance agents, underwriters, and administrative staff.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure high performance and productivity.

Policy Development and Implementation:

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to underwriting, claims processing, and customer service.
  • Ensure that policies are in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Risk Assessment and Underwriting:

  • Oversee the underwriting process, including risk assessment, policy issuance, and premium calculation.
  • Review and approve underwriting decisions for complex cases or exceptions.

Claims Management:

  • Manage the claims processing function, ensuring timely and accurate settlement of claims.
  • Investigate and resolve escalated or complex claims issues.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders.
  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Financial Management:

  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, including premiums, claims, and expenses.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize profitability and manage costs.

Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Stay informed about changes in regulations and update policies and procedures accordingly.

Market Research and Business Development:

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand market presence and grow the business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in insurance management or a related role.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles, and claims management.
  • Proven track record of driving business results and achieving financial targets.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology platforms.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
