Job Brief:

We are seeking an accomplished Instrumentation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, testing, and implementation of control systems for industrial processes. You will collaborate closely with clients, fellow engineers and technicians to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required specifications. Your expertise will be critical in optimising our processes and delivering high-quality solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Development with Schematic Creation: Design, develop, and test instrumentation and control systems for industrial processes. Create schematics, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and control architecture layouts.

• Component Selection: Choose and specify instrumentation components, such as controllers, transmitters, and sensors.

• Software Implementation: Develop and implement control plans using software tools like PLC & HMI programming, SCADA systems, and an overview of DCS. Ensure Backup Management availability of PLC & HMI backups for all critical equipment.

• Feasibility Studies and Compliance: Conduct cost-benefit analyses and feasibility studies for proposed projects. Ensure that instrumentation and control systems are designed and installed in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

• Project Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, other engineers, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

• Document Review: Review and approve instrumentation and control system design documents, including specifications, drawings, and calculations.

• Project Tracking & Technical Reporting: Maintain project records and track progress. Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to clients and other stakeholders.

• Technical Support & Industry Trends: Provide technical guidance and support to other team members. Stay updated on new developments in the field of instrumentation and control systems, as well as market trends.

• Skill Requirements:

• Programming Experience:

  Experience with control system programming and software tools such as PLC programming, DCS programming, or SCADA systems.

• Analytical Skills and Industry Knowledge:

  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with industrial processes and equipment, such as pumps, motors, and valves, is a plus.

• Communication Skills and Team Collaboration:

  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Professional License:

  A Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred. Experience with control system programming and software tools such as PLC programming, DCS programming, or SCADA systems
