Information Security Analyst II
We have an opportunity for an Information Security Analyst II to join our Security Operations (SOC) team in Bangalore, reporting to the Senior Manager of Security Operations. In this position, you will play a critical role in protecting Infoblox’s corporate infrastructure. Collaborating closely with IT, InfoSec, Engineering, and other organizations, you will work with a highly collaborative team that prioritizes innovation and professional growth.
Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do
- Continuously monitor, triage, and respond to security alerts across SIEM, EDR, NDR, and ASM platforms
- Perform initial and deep-dive investigations on suspicious activities impacting corporate systems
- Support and participate in end-to-end incident response, including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify emerging risks and previously undetected anomalies
- Assist the SOC manager in building dashboards, reporting operational metrics, and enhancing SOC KPIs
- Update and maintain the IT Risk Register by identifying, documenting, and tracking technical risks
- Create, refine, and standardize SOC documentation, including playbooks, runbooks, workflows, and proposals
- Collaborate with IT, Engineering, InfoSec, and cross-functional teams to improve detection and response capabilities
- Communicate incident findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous SOC improvements by suggesting automation opportunities and tuning security tools
Be Prepared — What You Bring
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or security monitoring roles
- Strong working knowledge of SIEM, EDR (CrowdStrike), NDR, and ASM technologies
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, SOC 2, and ISO 27001
- Proven ability to analyze security alerts, correlate logs, and perform root-cause investigations
- Experience in incident response methodologies, threat hunting techniques, and detection engineering basics
- Strong communication skills to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical leaders
- Ability to document processes, create SOC runbooks, and maintain knowledge repositories
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information science, computer science, or a related field
- Security certifications such as Security+, CEH, CySA+, or GIAC credentials, (preferred)
- A proactive, analytical mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative SOC environment
