Job Description

Role: Informatica Consultant – SAP Integration

Location: Remote

Shift : 3:00 PM IST – 12:00 AM IST

Notice Period: Immediate

Role Summary

Responsible for providing L2/L3 support, maintenance, and continuous enhancements for Informatica Power Center and related SAP integrations. The role involves ensuring smooth data integration between SAP and non-SAP systems, resolving production issues, implementing minor enhancements, and collaborating with business and technical teams for ongoing improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day support for Informatica Power Center (On-Premise) environment and its integrations with SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Datasphere, etc.).
Monitor and troubleshoot ETL workflows, data mappings, and performance issues.
Analyze and resolve production incidents within defined SLAs, including root cause analysis and permanent fixes.
Deliver small enhancements: new mappings, transformations, and interface changes.
Perform impact analysis and coordinate testing (unit, integration, regression).
Optimize existing ETL processes for performance and stability.
Support batch scheduling, job monitoring, and recovery for failed loads.
Coordinate with SAP functional/technical teams and business users for requirements and solutions.
Maintain documentation: design specs, technical changes, knowledge base for recurring issues.
Ensure compliance with change management and ITSM processes (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.).

Required Skills & Experience

5–10 years of experience in Informatica PowerCenter (On-Premise) development and support.
Strong experience in SAP–Informatica integrations (SAP ECC/S/4 extractors, IDocs, BAPIs, ODP, CDS views, etc.).
Proficiency in SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, HANA preferred).
Experience in production support (incident, problem, change management).
Knowledge of performance tuning for mappings, sessions, and workflows.
Good understanding of SAP data structures (Finance, Logistics, Master Data).
Familiarity with scheduling tools (Control-M, Tidal, Autosys) and version control systems.
Strong debugging, analytical, and communication skills.

Good to Have

Exposure to Informatica Cloud (IICS) or migration from On-Prem to Cloud.
Hands-on with SAP BW or Datasphere integration.
Experience in Agile methodology and DevOps pipelines (CI/CD).
Basic Unix shell scripting for job monitoring and troubleshooting.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
