Job Summary:

Informatica Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop

  ETL processes, mappings, workflows, and sessions

  using Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Cloud (IICS).
• Analyze business and technical requirements to design effective

  data integration and migration solutions

  .
• Work with

  data warehouses, data marts, and operational data stores (ODS)

  .
• Perform

  data validation, transformation, and cleansing

  to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Optimize ETL workflows for

  performance, scalability, and reusability

  .
• Collaborate with

  data architects, DBAs, and business analysts

  to support enterprise data initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data or ETL-related issues in production and development environments.
  
• Create and maintain

  technical documentation

  for ETL processes and data flow diagrams.
• Ensure adherence to

  data governance, security, and compliance

  policies.
• Support

  system upgrades, patching, and version migrations

  of Informatica tools.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  
• 3–8 years of experience as an

  Informatica Developer / Consultant

  .
• Strong proficiency in

  Informatica PowerCenter

  (or Informatica Cloud / IICS).
• Expertise in

  SQL, PL/SQL

  , and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, or Snowflake.
• In-depth understanding of

  ETL concepts, data modeling, and data warehousing

  .
• Experience in

  performance tuning

  of mappings and workflows.
• Knowledge of

  job scheduling tools

  (Control-M, Autosys, or similar).
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
  

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience with

  Informatica MDM

  ,

  Data Quality (IDQ)

  , or

  Cloud Data Integration

  .
• Familiarity with

  cloud data platforms

  (AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, or Google BigQuery).
• Exposure to

  Python/Shell scripting

  for automation and monitoring.
• Knowledge of

  Agile methodologies

  and

  CI/CD pipelines

  for ETL deployment.
• Understanding of

  data governance frameworks

  and

  metadata management
