About this opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced ICT Engineer . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting Linux and Windows servers, virtualization platforms, storage and network hardware, and routine data center operations. This role is the first line of escalation for hardware and OS issues, supports lab and production environments, and participates in 24x7 rotational shift coverage.

What you will do:

Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot Linux servers (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) including OS installation, IP/DNS configuration, user and permission management, root password recovery, and package management (RPM/YUM). Configure and manage YUM repositories.
Install, configure, patch and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows servers/clients (2008/2012/2016) in physical and virtual environments; manage local administrator accounts, user accounts, DNS and network settings; deploy and manage Windows updates and software packages; update antivirus definitions via Symantec server.
Deploy, configure and maintain virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Hypervisor, Nutanix ESXi preferred). Tasks include ESXi host installation, IP configuration, datastore/storage setup, VM creation and OS installation, and ESXi version upgrades.
Perform hardware tasks: rack & stack servers, storage and network devices; replace and migrate server/network components; basic hardware log analysis; configure and upgrade ILO/ILOM and storage controller IPs; collect DSET reports for Dell servers; perform firmware upgrades.
Support basic SAN/NAS storage operations: storage provisioning, LUN mapping, RAID/disk configuration understanding, assist with storage controller IP configuration, monitor storage health and capacity.

The skills you bring:

4–5 years of hands-on experience in server and data center operational support.
Strong Linux administration skills (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu): installation, network setup, package management, user management and recovery procedures.
Proficient in Microsoft Windows OS installation and administration (2008/2012/2016), patching and basic troubleshooting.
Experience with VMware ESXi installation, configuration, VM creation and host upgrades. Familiarity with Nutanix is a plus.
Practical experience with server hardware tasks: rack mounting, firmware/ILO management, DSET reporting for Dell.
Basic SAN/NAS knowledge, storage provisioning and LUN mapping experience.
Good understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, and basic switch/router console management.
Familiarity with data center infrastructure (UPS, cooling, power distribution) and monitoring PUE/CUE metrics.
Strong troubleshooting skills, good written and verbal communication, ability to work independently and in a team, and readiness to work in 24x7 rotational shifts.
Degree/Diploma in engineering or relevant technical discipline. Relevant certifications (RHCSA/RHCE, VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSA, Dell EMC, Cisco CCNA, etc.) are advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Nutanix and hyperconverged infrastructure.
Prior experience in an enterprise data center or lab operations environment.
Hands-on experience with backup tools/processes and basic scripting (Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
Familiarity with monitoring tools, ticketing systems and ITIL processes.
