The HR Manager will be responsible for managing the Human Resources functions in India, ensuring all HR activities comply with applicable local labour legislation and align with the global company policies and standards. The HR Manager will also be responsible for ensuring the timely and effective delivery of day to day HR operations such as management of employee life cycle and compensation, fostering a positive work culture, addressing employee relations matters, facilitating the performance management processes, ensuring compliance with labour laws.


Primary responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Lead and manage all HR operations locally, ensuring compliance with local employment laws and alignment with global HR policies
  • Support the implementation of global HR initiatives, systems, and projects at the local level. Advise on local policy adaptations where global policies require adjustment for legal or cultural relevance.
  • Lead efforts to create and maintain a positive work culture that fosters employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including conflict resolution, employee relations, and career development
  • Manage employee benefits programs, compensation structures, and ensure market competitiveness
  • Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement
  • Handle sensitive and confidential employee issues with professionalism and discretion
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations, adapting HR practices accordingly
  • Analyse HR metrics and data to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Partner with the Global Recruitment team to support recruitment activities locally, ensuring alignment with hiring needs, timelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and related documentation.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.


Requirements

  • Educational Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources
  • Qualification and Skills:

    In-depth understanding of Indian labour laws, regulations, and HR best practices; Proven experience in HR management roles, demonstrating strategic thinking and decision-making abilities; Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the global HR team; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with employees at all levels; Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and guide cross-functional teams; Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities to address employee-related issues; Business acumen and ability to align HR initiatives with overall business goals; Experience in adaptying global HR policies to fit local context.
  • Language Skills:

    Excellent written and spoken English skills
  • Other requirements:

    Must be eligible to work in India
