Job Description

Role Overview You will own end-to-end HR & People Operations: hiring, culture, salaries, documentation, and office operations. Your goal is to build a high-performance, low-drama environment where people are clear, productive, and happy. Key Responsibilities 1. Hiring & Onboarding Own the full hiring funnel: sourcing, screening, HR interviews, coordination with team leads/founders. Draft and post JDs for tech, design, marketing, support, and interns. Manage offers, salary discussions and joining formalities. Plan and run smooth onboarding, induction and basic ice-breaking for new joiners. Handle exit process: documentation, handover, feedback, relieving letters. 2. People Management & Culture Handle day-to-day people issues: conflicts, behaviour concerns, attendance/leave queries. Implement and enforce company policies and values fairly. Reduce politics and gossip; maintain a healthy, transparent work environment. Be a safe, neutral point of contact for employees while staying aligned with founders. Keep founders informed with a clear “people pulse” of the company. 3. Performance, Salaries & HR SystemsMaintain accurate employee records: salary, role, dates, level changes, documents. Coordinate monthly salaries and bonuses with finance; ensure timely and correct payouts. Support performance review cycles, probation reviews and performance improvement plans. Help evaluate “contribution vs expectations” using impact forms and feedback from team leads. Support founders in planning increments and handling salary negotiations. 4. Office Operations & Admin Oversee daily office operations: office maintain, stationery, seating, access, basic IT/hardware coordination. Manage subscriptions and basic vendor follow-ups related to tools and office services. Support general admin/back-office tasks so founders and team leads can focus on product and growth. 5. Documentation & Compliance Prepare and maintain all HR documents: offer letters, appointment letters, NDAs, internship letters, experience/relieving letters. Keep HR policies, employee database and SOPs updated in Notion. Coordinate with CA/consultants for basic labour/compliance requirements when needed. Requirements 2+ years of experience in HR / People Operations (startup experience preferred). Hands-on exposure to hiring, onboarding, exits and day-to-day people issues (not only policy work). Comfortable working directly with founders and young team leads. Good command of English and Hindi/Gujarati; strong written and verbal communication skills. Basic comfort with tools like Google Sheets, Docs, Notion, HR portals (Naukri, LinkedIn, etc.). What we value in this role High integrity and respect for confidentiality.
