Job Description

HR Officer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Source, screen, and profile candidates based on role-specific requirements.
  • Conduct interviews, skill assessments, and reference verification.
  • Manage end-to-end hiring processes through HRMS/ATS platforms.
  • Maintain candidate databases and provide shortlisted profiles to hiring managers.

2. HRMS & Data Management

  • Maintain accurate and updated employee records in HRMS.
  • Generate reports on attendance, leaves, performance, and compliance.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of HRMS modules including recruitment, performance, appraisal, attendance, and ESS (Employee Self-Service).

3. Performance & KRA Management

  • Define and implement KRA frameworks in coordination with department heads.
  • Track employee performance and goal achievement using HRMS tools.
  • Support managers in setting measurable KRAs and conducting periodic reviews.

4. Onboarding & Induction

  • Design and deliver induction programs for new hires.
  • Ensure completion of onboarding processes, including documentation, system access, and training.
  • Provide continuous support to new employees during their initial transition.

5. Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare and present reports on recruitment, attendance, performance, and compliance metrics.
  • Ensure adherence to institutional HR policies, labor laws, and data protection standards.
  • Support audits and compliance reviews as required.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Functional Skills:

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, ATS management
  • HRMS Operations: Employee database, attendance & leave tracking
  • Performance & KRA Tracking: Appraisal cycles, metrics monitoring, goal setting
  • Onboarding & Induction: Orientation programs, compliance documentation, training coordination
  • Reporting & Compliance: HR reporting, labor law compliance, policy adherence

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational ability with attention to detail
  • Analytical problem-solving approach
  • Ability to handle confidential data with integrity

Technical Tools:

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools
  • Hands-on experience with HRMS platforms and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in HR operations, preferably in education or service-oriented sectors.
  • Proven experience with HRMS and ATS tools is mandatory.
