Job Description

Role Overview

The HR Manager will oversee the full employee lifecyclemanaging recruitment, engagement, compliance, payroll, and strategic workforce planning. This role requires a deep understanding of HR in a manufacturing setup, strong compliance knowledge, and the ability to balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for production, QA/QC, R&D, maintenance, and corporate roles.
  • Build talent pipelines through partnerships with local technical institutes, universities, and specialized recruiters.
  • Enhance employer branding to attract skilled talent in the manufacturing and life sciences sectors.

Employee Engagement & Development

  • Design and implement plant-friendly engagement activities for both blue-collar and white-collar employees.
  • Conduct training needs analysis and coordinate learning programs covering CGMP, safety protocols, and soft skills.
  • Manage performance appraisals aligned to production KPIs, quality benchmarks, and compliance standards.

Compliance & Policy Management

  • Ensure 100% compliance with Indian labor laws, Gujarat state labor regulations, and CGMP guidelines.
  • Maintain audit-ready HR documentation for internal and external inspections.
  • Develop and enforce HR policies, handling grievances and disciplinary actions with fairness and confidentiality.

Payroll & HR Operations

  • Oversee payroll processing, including shift allowance, overtime, PF, ESIC, and professional tax deductions.
  • Manage attendance and leave systems through HRMS and biometric solutions.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date employee records.

Strategic HR Planning

  • Partner with leadership for manpower forecasting, succession planning, and organizational design.
  • Drive change management for new product lines, process automation, and export-driven business expansion.
  • Recommend HR initiatives that improve retention, productivity, and compliance readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5-8 years in HR, including at least 3 years in a managerial role within manufacturing, FMCG, or life sciences.
  • Strong knowledge of Factory Act, labor law compliance, PF/ESIC regulations, and CGMP HR practices.
  • Proficiency in HRMS, MS Office, and payroll software.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • High integrity in handling confidential information.
