Job Description

As an HR Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions within the organization. Your key responsibilities will include: - Assisting in recruitment processes for academic and non-academic staff, which involves tasks such as job postings, screening, and interview scheduling. - Coordinating onboarding and orientation programs for new employees to ensure a smooth transition into the organization. - Maintaining talent databases and ensuring timely communication with candidates to provide a positive candidate experience. - Maintaining accurate HR records, including employment contracts, leave records, and personnel files. - Tracking probation periods, contract renewals, and confirmations to ensure compliance with organizational policies. - Assisting in handling grievances, disciplinary procedures, and conflict resolution under guidance to maintain a positive and inclusive workplace culture. - Promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture to foster a harmonious work environment. - Ensuring compliance with university HR policies, relevant labor laws, and regulations to uphold organizational standards. - Assisting in audits, data reporting, and preparation of documentation for regulatory bodies such as UGC, NAAC, and AICTE. - Helping implement health & safety protocols and diversity initiatives to create a safe and inclusive workplace environment. - Coordinating internal training sessions, workshops, and staff development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge. - Maintaining training records and feedback to track employee development progress. - Providing administrative support by preparing HR letters (offer, appointment, promotion, experience, etc.). - Assisting in preparing reports, presentations, and data for meetings to support HR operations. - Supporting annual performance appraisal processes to ensure timely and accurate evaluations. Qualifications & Experience: - Masters degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field. - 3 years of HR experience, preferably in an academic or educational institution. Key Skills & Competencies: - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. - Discretion and confidentiality. - Problem-solving and time management abilities. - Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
