The Assistant Professor in the Dialysis Department is responsible for delivering high-quality education to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students in dialysis technology, contributing to clinical and academic research, and participating in the development of curriculum and clinical training programs. The role involves teaching, mentoring, academic advising, and contributing to the professional development of students entering the dialysis and nephrology field. Key Responsibilities:Teaching: Deliver lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in dialysis technology and related nephrology subjects. Supervise students during clinical postings in dialysis units. Develop and update course materials in alignment with academic and industry standards. Assess student performance through exams, assignments, and clinical evaluations. Research: Conduct research in dialysis, renal replacement therapy, or related nephrology fields. Publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences. Guide students in research projects and thesis work. Clinical Collaboration: Work closely with nephrologists, dialysis technicians, and hospital staff to ensure quality clinical training. Maintain liaison with affiliated hospitals and dialysis centers for student placements. Curriculum Development: Assist in designing and revising the academic curriculum based on the latest advancements in dialysis technology and treatment protocols. Ensure alignment with regulatory and accreditation bodies. Academic Administration: Participate in departmental meetings, quality assurance processes, and faculty development programs. Serve on academic committees and contribute to institutional development. Qualifications: Educational: Master's degree (M.Sc.) or Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Dialysis Technology, Nephrology, Medical Sciences, or a related discipline. Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of teaching or clinical experience in dialysis or nephrology. Registration: Registration with appropriate medical/allied health council (if applicable). Key Skills: Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of dialysis procedures, equipment, and patient care. Excellent teaching and presentation skills. Ability to guide students in clinical and research settings. Proficiency in academic writing and use of learning management systems. Preferred Qualifications: Previous academic experience in a recognized medical or allied health college. Research publications in relevant areas.
