Role Overview:

The Payroll Executive is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, statutory compliance, and maintaining payroll records. The role involves close coordination with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure smooth payroll operations and compliance with labor laws.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing

• Collect, validate, and process monthly payroll data (attendance, leave, overtime, incentives, deductions, etc.).
• Ensure accurate salary computation and disbursement within defined timelines.
• Reconcile payroll prior to finalization and resolve discrepancies.

Compliance & Statutory Management

• Handle statutory deductions such as PF, ESI, PT, TDS, and ensure timely remittances.
• File statutory returns and maintain compliance with labor laws.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll-related legislation.

Employee Support

• Address payroll-related queries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
• Generate and issue payslips, Form 16, and other payroll-related documents.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain payroll records and documentation for audit purposes.
• Prepare monthly payroll reports, MIS, and analytics for management.
• Coordinate with Finance for payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, HR, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in payroll processing (experience in multi-location or multi-shift workforce preferred).
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, statutory compliance, and labor laws.
• Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work within strict deadlines.
