About The Opportunity
We operate in the travel & tourism sector—delivering tours, travel logistics, holiday packages and corporate travel services across India and internationally. This is a fully remote HR role supporting distributed teams and field staff across multiple states.Primary title: Human Resources Manager (best-performing standardized title)Role & Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end recruitment: define job specs, source candidates, manage ATS, conduct interviews and close offers for operations, sales and back-office roles across India.
- Design and run onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth new-hire assimilation and compliant separation workflows.
- Manage employee relations: act as HR point of contact, investigate issues, resolve conflicts and implement corrective action while preserving morale.
- Ensure statutory compliance and payroll accuracy: coordinate with payroll providers, prepare PF/ESI/TDS documentation and maintain employee records per Indian labour laws.
- Drive performance management: administer appraisals, track KPIs, support managers on goal-setting and development plans.
- Partner with leadership to implement HR policies, remote-work guidelines, L&D initiatives and culture-building activities that support retention.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- 3+ years of hands-on HR experience in operations-driven or services companies, ideally with travel/tourism exposure.
- Proven experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and payroll/statutory compliance (India).
- Familiarity with an HRIS or ATS (Zoho Recruit/Workday/GreytHR or similar) and Microsoft/Google workspace tools.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills; ability to work autonomously in a remote setup.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or related field and exposure to L&D/training design.
- Experience supporting geographically distributed workforces and managing vendor relationships for payroll or compliance.
