About The Opportunity

We operate in the Travel & Tourism services sectorproviding domestic and international tour packages, ticketing, and vendor-managed travel solutions. This is a fully remote accounting role based in India, ideal for candidates who want hands-on bookkeeping and compliance experience in a fast-moving service business.

About The Employer

You will join Niharika Tours And Travels' finance team, supporting day-to-day accounting, GST compliance, vendor settlements and month-end reporting for travel operations.Role & Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day books: record invoices, receipts, vendor bills and customer payments in the accounting system (Tally/QuickBooks/Zoho).
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable workflowsprepare invoices, follow up on collections, and process vendor payments.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and ledger reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Support month-end close: prepare journal entries, accruals, expense allocations and basic reconciled trial balances.
• Assist with GST invoicing, return preparation and coordination with tax consultants for filings.
• Maintain travel-specific accounting recordscommissions, ticketing transactions, advances and vendor settlementsand provide support for audits.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• 13 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, preferably in travel, hospitality or services.
• Proficiency with Tally ERP, QuickBooks or Zoho Books and familiarity with cloud accounting workflows.
• Strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas) and attention to numerical accuracy.
• Basic knowledge of GST invoicing and compliance procedures.
• Organised, deadline-driven with clear written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.
  

Preferred

• B.Com or Diploma in Accounting/Finance and/or certification in bookkeeping.
• Experience with automated bookkeeping tools, cloud collaboration (Google Workspace) or ERP exposure.
