Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Pune for the position of Head of Supplier. The Head of Supplier will oversee and manage supplier relationships and performance, optimize supply chain operations, and ensure quality and cost-effectiveness in sourcing materials. The role involves identifying and mitigating risks, negotiating contracts, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with internal teams to align supplier strategies with business goals.


What you'll do?

  • Market Expertise: Utilize industry knowledge to advise suppliers on best practices, trends, and solutions to help them thrive within the supply chain ecosystem.
  • Relationship Development: Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with suppliers to facilitate open communication and feedback, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed proactively.
  • Supplier Advocacy: Act as a voice for suppliers within the organization, conveying their needs and suggestions to the product and development teams for continuous improvement.
  • Business Development: Identify potential suppliers and establish relationships to promote our SCM platform.
  • Engagement Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to engage suppliers, emphasizing the benefits of joining our platform at no cost


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in supplier management, business development, or account management, ideally within the supply chain or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in developing value propositions that resonate with suppliers and demonstrate business benefits, particularly in a supply chain context.
  • Strong industry expertise with a deep understanding of supplier dynamics, market trends, and supply chain best practices.
  • Relationship-building skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain strong, trust-based connections with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to clearly convey complex value propositions and benefits to suppliers.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, logistics, and supply chain management software.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with experience in overseeing supplier performance and ensuring quality standards.
