Regional Sales Manager


About Ola Electric:

Ola Electric is a pure EV player in India and is building vertically integrated technology and manufacturing capabilities for EVs and EV components, including cells. We manufacture EVs and certain core EV components like battery packs, motors and vehicle frames at the Ola Future Factory.

We are also at the forefront of India's electrification efforts, with a transformative impact on the energy landscape through research on advanced cell technology as well as building cell manufacturing capacity. The Gigafactory in Tamilnadu stands as a cornerstone in this journey, focusing on scaling up production of the revolutionary 4680 cells, with an initial capacity of 1.4 GWh that can expand to 20 GWh. Our R&D facility (OLA Battery Innovation Center), is

dedicated to pioneering cutting-edge cell and battery technologies. This facility serves as the nucleus of India's cell revolution, driving innovation through comprehensive in-house capabilities.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and executing regional sales strategies, building strong customer relationships, and driving revenue growth for our EV product portfolio

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Experience Centers Operations:

● Oversee the operations of stores within the region, ensuring effective customer engagement and conversion strategies are implemented to drive sales and enhance brand experience.

Sales Funnel Management and Performance Monitoring:

● Set KPIs for different channel sales teams and actively manage the sales funnel, analyzing performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales processes.

After-Sales Strategy Implementation:

● Develop and implement after-sales strategies to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize complaints, working closely with relevant teams to address customer concerns and ensure a seamless post-purchase experience.

Collaborate with Marketing and Fulfillment Teams:

● Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to coordinate promotional events and product launches, as well as with the Fulfillment team to ensure timely delivery

Continuous Improvement and Team Development:

● Conduct competitor analysis to stay informed about market trends, guide and coach the sales team to enhance performance, and improve operational management systems and processes to drive efficiency and productivity.

● Additionally, recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure a high-performing team capable of delivering world-class customer service.


Qualifications:

● Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.

● 12+ years of experience in regional sales management, preferably in the automotive sector.

● Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment.

● Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

● Deep understanding of the automotive retail channel and/or fleet sales.

● Ability to travel frequently within the region.

● Passion for clean energy and sustainability is a strong plus.
