About The Job
The Head of Infrastructure is a key leadership role responsible for shaping and managing the organization’s IT infrastructure strategy, ensuring its alignment with business objectives. The role demands expertise in executing carveout projects, developing a cost-optimized cloud strategy, and Managing & Operating IT infrastructure with strong partnerships with third-party providers. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and strategic vision to drive transformational initiatives and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain the IT infrastructure roadmap aligned with current and future business needs, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness through effective partner collaboration.
- Coordinate and govern infrastructure carve-out, migration, and integration projects, ensuring delivery through the service provider with minimal business disruption and maximum value.
- Develop and oversee a hybrid cloud and on-premises strategy, focusing on cost optimisation, operational efficiency, and agility, executed primarily via the outsourcing partner.
- Monitor and optimise infrastructure capacity and performance, leveraging partner capabilities to avoid over-provisioning or under-resourcing while meeting business requirements.
- Drive cost-efficient operations by tracking resource utilisation, enforcing contractual commitments, and influencing the adoption of innovative, cost-saving solutions through the service provider.
- Govern IT service desk and service management processes, ensuring the partner delivers high-quality, timely, and cost-effective services to internal customers.
- Implement and continuously improve ITSM processes (e.g., ITIL) in collaboration with the partner, focusing on efficiency, customer satisfaction, and cost control.
- Track and report service and infrastructure performance metrics, including SLA compliance, customer satisfaction, and infrastructure spend, holding the partner accountable for outcomes.
- Foster strong vendor management and governance, driving continuous improvement, innovation, and cost awareness across outsourced operations.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to align infrastructure and service priorities with business objectives and financial targets.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, security standards, and industry best practices, including robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans, delivered through the partner.
Your Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership role.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in leading IT carveouts, integrations, and transitions in M&A scenarios.
- Demonstrated experience in cost optimization, including cloud expenditure management and vendor negotiations.
- Extensive experience managing third-party providers and strategic partnerships.
- Deep knowledge of network architecture, data center management, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications
- Exceptional project management skills with experience delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects on time and within budget.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with technical teams, executives, and external partners.
