Role Overview

The Head of Demand Generation will lead the agency’s growth engine by designing and executing strategies that drive qualified leads, pipeline creation, and revenue for the agency’s marketing automation services. This role blends growth strategy, performance marketing, brand positioning, content-led demand creation, and conversion optimization. You will oversee the full-funnel demand engine—from market positioning to lead acquisition to nurturing—while working closely with sales, marketing automation experts, creative, and leadership teams.

We are looking for a candidate who has experience of generating demand for a marketing automation or a digital marketing agency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demand Generation Strategy
  • Build and own the agency’s demand-generation strategy across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Develop full-funnel frameworks (awareness → engagement → lead → MQL → SQL → opportunity).
  • Identify high-intent segments, ICPs, and personas in marketing automation, CRM, martech, and lifecycle marketing spaces.
  • Define quarterly revenue goals, lead targets, and pipeline projections.
  • Multi-Channel Execution
  • Lead campaigns across Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Meta, programmatic, and retargeting.
  • Oversee content-led demand creation: webinars, case studies, whitepapers, newsletters, blogs, and research reports.
  • Build nurture programs leveraging the agency’s own marketing automation stack (HubSpot, Marketo, SFMC, Braze, etc.).
  • Launch ABM (Account-Based Marketing) initiatives for enterprise and mid-market buyers.
  • Website, SEO & Conversion Optimization
  • Own website performance, landing page strategy, CRO experiments, and form optimization.
  • Build SEO-focused content calendars and optimize for intent-based ranking.
  • Oversee lead magnets, gated content, and conversion workflows.
  • Funnel Operations & Analytics
  • Build dashboards for MQL flow, CPL, CAC, ROAS, pipeline velocity, and revenue attribution.
  • Set up lead scoring criteria and lifecycle stages.
  • Partner with sales to refine qualification, routing, and follow-up processes.
  • Leverage analytics tools (GA4, HubSpot, Looker Studio, CRM analytics).
  • Collaboration & Leadership
  • Partner with automation teams to showcase thought leadership, case studies, and proof of value.
  • Work closely with the Sales Head to align on pipeline goals and run joint campaigns.
  • Lead a team across performance, SEO, content, operations, and marketing automation.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and refine positioning against other automation agencies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8–15 years in demand generation, performance marketing, or growth marketing (agency experience preferred).
  • Strong experience running multi-channel paid campaigns targeting B2B decision makers.
  • Deep understanding of B2B SaaS, martech, and marketing automation space.
  • Expertise with automation and CRM tools like HubSpot, Marketo, SFMC, Braze, Zoho CRM, or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to build dashboards and optimize performance.
  • Strong storytelling and messaging abilities for a technical buyer audience.
  • Leadership experience managing cross-functional marketing teams.

Good-to-Have / Bonus Skills

  • Experience marketing services offerings ( SaaS/Product related to marketing).
  • Hands-on experience building email nurture journeys or lifecycle programs.
  • Knowledge of lead scoring, enrichment tools (Clearbit, ZoomInfo), and ABM platforms (Demandbase, Terminus).
  • Understanding of martech stacks, CDPs, and CEPs
  • Experience with marketing attribution platforms.
  • Prior experience scaling demand functions from scratch.
  • Ability to oversee high-quality content on marketing automation, CRM, and lifecycle strategy.
  • Certifications in Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, HubSpot, or any automation platform.
  • Exposure to global markets: US, UK, ANZ, Middle East.
