🍴 Job Description – Head Chef / CDC 🏢 Company: Zypher’s (Bistro & Gelateria) 📍 Location: Zypher’s, Park Street, Wakad, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Maharashtra, India 👥 Eligibility: Both Male & Female candidates can apply 🎓 Qualification: Graduate in HM 🗣️ Language Requirement: Intermediate English 💼 Experience: Min 5 years, and 2+ years in a leadership role. Key responsibilities & Roles: Kitchen Operations Management • Control and direct the food preparation process and kitchen activities • Create and develop menus with new or existing culinary creations • Approve and inspect all dishes before they reach customers to ensure quality • Oversee food production timing and ensure sufficient quantities are available Staff Management • Hire, train, and supervise all kitchen staff • Delegate tasks and monitor work performance • Provide feedback and support staff development • Manage payroll, attendance records, and scheduling Inventory and Budget Control • Order ingredients and supplies according to identified shortages • Manage kitchen inventory and minimize food wastage • Control costs and maintain operating budgets • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors Safety and Compliance • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations • Maintain clean and hygienic kitchen standards • Implement and monitor food safety protocols Essential Skills Leadership and Communication • Strong leadership abilities to manage and motivate kitchen teams • Excellent communication skills for staff interaction and supplier relations • Ability to perform well under high-pressure, fast-paced conditions Culinary Expertise • Advanced culinary knowledge and extensive cooking experience • Creativity to design innovative dishes and menus • Refined palate and excellent sense of taste • Knowledge of diverse cooking techniques and cuisines Management Skills • Exceptional organizational skills for smooth kitchen operations • Financial acumen and budget management capabilities • Computer literacy including POS systems and Microsoft Office Requirements and Qualifications Experience • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant professional kitchen experience • At least 3 years in a management or leadership role • Proven track record as head chef or executive chef Education • Culinary arts degree or related certification preferred • Foundation degree, higher national diploma, or degree in hospitality management • Health and safety training credentials Physical Requirements • Physical stamina and dexterity for kitchen work • Ability to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously We’re Urgently Hiring!
