Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Head Chef – Italian Handcrafted Pizza to lead our kitchen team and elevate our culinary offerings. The ideal candidate will be an expert in authentic Italian pizza techniques – from dough fermentation to wood-fired baking – and will have strong leadership skills to manage kitchen operations, ensure consistency, and deliver an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily kitchen operations with a focus on handcrafted Italian pizzas.

Prepare, bake, and present authentic Italian pizzas using traditional techniques (dough preparation, fermentation, wood/gas-fired ovens).

Design and develop innovative seasonal menus while maintaining authenticity.

Ensure food quality, taste, presentation, and consistency meet brand standards.

Train, supervise, and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff.

Manage food costing, inventory, and portion control to minimize wastage.

Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and sanitation in compliance with FSSAI/food safety guidelines.

Collaborate with management on menu engineering, kitchen efficiency, and guest feedback.

Stay updated with modern pizza trends while preserving traditional Italian roots.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Head Chef / Pizza Chef / Pizzaiolo in a premium Italian restaurant, pizzeria, or 5-star hotel.

Strong expertise in handcrafted dough techniques (fermentation, hydration levels, stretching).

Knowledge of Italian ingredients, sauces, and toppings.

Experience with wood-fired, stone-based, or high-heat pizza ovens.

Leadership and team management skills with the ability to train and inspire staff.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Culinary degree/diploma preferred but not mandatory if compensated with rich experience.

Creativity, passion for authentic Italian cuisine, and attention to detail.
