Job Title: Head of Accounts & Finance

Location: Noida Phase 2

Role Summary

The Head of Accounts & Finance will lead the finance and accounting function for an eCommerce-focused organization in India. The role involves managing end-to-end accounting operations, statutory and tax compliance, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning. Strong hands-on experience with Zoho Books and prior exposure to the eCommerce ecosystem is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Management

• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business goals
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, and financial planning
• Provide actionable financial insights to management

Accounting & Reporting

• Oversee complete accounting operations using Zoho Books
• Ensure accurate books of accounts, including GL, AP, AR, inventory, and fixed assets
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage revenue recognition, discounts, returns, refunds, and commissions

eCommerce Accounting

• Handle accounting for marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, etc.) and D2C platforms
• Reconcile sales, settlements, payment gateways, COD, chargebacks, and refunds
• Monitor inventory valuation, COGS, and contribution margins
• Coordinate with operations and logistics teams on cost optimization

Taxation & Compliance (India)

• Ensure compliance with Indian statutory requirements
• Oversee GST compliance (returns, reconciliations, audits)
• Manage direct taxation (TDS, advance tax, income tax returns)
• Handle statutory audits, tax audits, and liaison with tax authorities
• Ensure compliance with Companies Act, ROC filings, and other regulations

Cash Flow & Treasury

• Manage cash flow, working capital, and fund planning
• Oversee banking operations, payments, and reconciliations
• Monitor receivables, payables, and credit controls

Team Leadership & Process Improvement

• Lead and mentor the accounts & finance team
• Implement process improvements and automation within Zoho Books
• Strengthen internal controls and SOPs

Qualifications & Experience

• CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) preferred
• 6 to 8 years of experience in Accounts & Finance
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Zoho Books
• Proven experience in the Indian eCommerce industry
• Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, and taxation laws

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of Indian eCommerce business and taxation structure
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and compliance orientation
• Effective communication and stakeholder management

Salary & Compensation

• ₹7 LPA and above
• Final compensation will depend on the candidate’s experience, skills, and overall profile

Reporting To

• Managing Director / CEO

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
