Job Purpose
To support its growth, John Cockerill Energy Solutions, headquartered in Belgium and having technology center in Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai is hiring a Piping Designer/ Engineer - GET. The Piping Designer / Engineer is an employee responsible of power piping networks and support design & in 3D software for the products of the Energy Solutions Business line of John Cockerill, mainly HRSG’s (Heat Recovery Steam Generators) and Industrial Boilers. He / She oversees all piping related activities (integrating piping network/equipment in 3D software and paying particular attention tointerfaces. He/She assures the delivery on time of different piping deliverables according to the milestones defined by the Project Teams. He/She is particularly responsible to deliver his/her work in conformity with internal quality standards as defined in the QMS (quality management system) of theEnergy Solutions Business line of John Cockerill.
Responsibilities
The Piping Designer / Engineer is responsible for the delivery of the piping isometric drawings and special items detailed manufacturing drawings under the hierarchical responsibility of the Piping Design.Manager and the functional responsibility of the Technical Project Manager with the following objectives: Respect of the Design Process as defined in the QMS of the business line, Technical conformity of drawings to internal standards and contractual requirements, Supply of a fast and reliable service to the project teams to respect the document andequipment contractual delivery schedules of projects.
Key Responsibilities
The duties of the Piping Designer / Engineer are amongst others: Application of the Design Process, Check the completeness of the inputs received from the Technical Project Manager and basic engineering department to proceed to his/her work, Integrate equipment in the piping networks in 3D model, Proceed to the spooling of piping networks in the 3D model, Respect the pipe stress analysis reports for piping hanger location, Design the pipe supports and hangers in 3D and preparing the 2D drawings, Issue the manufacturing documentation (mainly isometrics & Support drawings) in compliancewith internal standards and contractual requirements, Provide the engineers with information needed for the project progress, Manage the mechanical interfaces between the different equipment, Issue the manufacturing documentation in compliance with administrative standards, Issue EBOM’s (Engineering Bill of Materials) for raw material procurement, Issue and update the standard technical documentation, Keep his competencies updated with regards to the needs of the Business, Be proactive in the continuous improvement and REX (return on experience) processes.
Education & Experience
- Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
- Certification in Piping Design Engineering & Construction
- 0-2 years of experience within an engineering context
