Job Description: General Manager – Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC)

Position Title: General Manager – RMC

Location: Pune,Maharashtra

Reporting To: Director / Managing Director

Role Overview:

The General Manager – RMC will be responsible for overseeing the entire Ready-Mix Concrete operations, including plant management, production, dispatch, quality control, and safety compliance. The role demands strong leadership, operational excellence, and business acumen to ensure smooth functioning of multiple RMC plants and drive growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day operations of all RMC plants to ensure efficient production and delivery.

• Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve monthly and annual production targets.

• Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.

• Optimize plant utilization, manpower allocation, and fleet management.

• Drive cost-efficiency in raw material usage, logistics, and production processes.

• Lead, mentor, and motivate plant managers, engineers, and staff to deliver high performance.

• Coordinate with sales & marketing teams to align production with business demand.

• Manage budgets, production planning, and resource allocation effectively.

• Analyze operational data and prepare reports for management decision-making.

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.

• Foster a culture of discipline, accountability, and safety across all plants.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Civil Engineering only.

• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in RMC plant operations, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.

• Strong understanding of batching plant operations, logistics, fleet management, and quality standards.

• Proven track record of managing multiple plants and large teams.

• Knowledge of ERP systems / RMC software will be an advantage.
