Role Overview

General Manager – Operations

This leadership role demands strategic vision, operational discipline, and hands-on management to achieve performance, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct overall plant operations, including production, planning, maintenance, procurement, and logistics.
• Implement lean manufacturing systems and process optimization frameworks.
• Drive vendor performance and cost-reduction initiatives across the supply chain.
• Ensure adherence to

  ISO, BIS

  , and internal quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with R&D, quality, and business divisions to support product innovation and scalability.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for productivity, efficiency, and delivery performance.
• Lead workforce development initiatives and foster a results-oriented, high-performance culture.
• Provide strategic inputs to senior management on operational planning and capacity expansion.

Candidate Profile

• Education:

  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; MBA preferred.

• Experience:

  12–20 years in

  lighting, electrical, or electronics manufacturing

  , with at least 5 years in a senior plant or operations leadership role.
• Proven record in large-scale production management, process improvement, and quality systems implementation.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to drive cross-functional coordination.
