General Manager – Sales (Andhra Pradesh & Tamil Nadu)

Director– Sales (South Zone)
Team Structure:
Senior RSMs, ASMs, and Sales Executives in each state
Industry Preference:
Mandatory – Tiles / Ceramics / Building Materials
Role Summary
This role will lead all sales and distribution functions across
Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu
, including P&L ownership, team leadership, and strategic market development. The incumbent must have
extensive experience in the Tiles or Ceramics Industry
and strong local market knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Drive top-line sales and market share growth across dealer, distributor, and project segments
- Design and execute go-to-market strategies tailored for AP & TN markets
- Ensure primary and secondary sales target achievement across product categories
- Channel Development:
- Strengthen dealer-distributor-retail network across all key cities and towns
- Conduct dealer meets, trade schemes, and on-ground activations to build loyalty and engagement
- Improve channel health by tracking sell-out, credit cycle, and relationship depth
- P&L and Operational Ownership:
- Full responsibility for regional P&L, margins, receivables, collections, and working capital
- Lead monthly forecasting, target setting, pricing, and discount strategy aligned with HO
- Collaborate with Accounts, SCM, and Operations for order fulfillment and profitability improvement
- Team Leadership:
- Manage a strong field team – Sr. RSMs, ASMs, and Sales Executives
- Build a performance-driven culture with regular reviews, market visits, and development plans
- Recruit, train, and retain top sales talent across both states
- Market Insights & Brand Positioning:
- Monitor competitor activity, product launches, pricing trends, and channel dynamics
- Collaborate with marketing for showroom visibility, product positioning, and local promotions
- Represent the company in dealer conferences, regional exhibitions, and trade events
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Minimum 15 years in Sales with at least 5 years in a regional leadership role in Tiles/Ceramics/Building Materials
- Geographical Expertise: Deep understanding of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu markets
- Team Management: Proven ability to lead large sales teams and deliver business results
- Education: Graduate required; MBA/PGDM in Sales/Marketing preferred
- Languages: Working knowledge of Telugu/Tamil is a strong advantage
Compensation
The
maximum total CTC for this role is ₹50 Lakhs per annum
, commensurate with the candidate’s experience, industry fit, and strategic capabilities.
