Position Title: General Manager 3PL,

Location:

Role Overview:

The General Manager – 3PL & Business Development will lead strategic expansion of third-party logistics services, drive revenue growth, and oversee end-to-end client solutions. This role demands a seasoned leader with deep market insight, strong commercial acumen, and operational command across warehousing, transportation, and value-added services.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new 3PL contracts across target sectors
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market share
  • Build strong client relationships and ensure long-term retention
  • Lead proposal development, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day 3PL operations including warehousing, distribution, and fulfilment
  • Ensure service level adherence, cost optimization, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customized client solutions
  • Drive digital transformation and automation initiatives within operations

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Own P&L responsibility for the 3PL vertical
  • Monitor KPIs, budget performance, and cost control measures
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform pricing and positioning

Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing sales and operations teams
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer-centricity
  • Liaise with senior leadership to align business goals and reporting

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ years in logistics, supply chain, or 3PL operations with proven business development success
  • Strong understanding of warehousing, transportation, and value-added services
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale client accounts and complex projects
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • MBA or equivalent preferred
