Minimum 5 years of proven experience in bespoke or made-to-measure fashion design. A strong portfolio with custom designs, including both Indian ethnic wear and Western styles. Experience working with established designers or premium fashion houses. Strong understanding of fashion silhouettes, fabric behavior, garment construction, and tailoring techniques. Must be skilled in hand sketching and digital illustration tools (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Procreate). Should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to converse confidently with high-profile or premium clientele. As a Tailor at Marriott International in Bengaluru, you'll be essential in maintaining the impeccable standards of our hotel's appearance. With 1-4 years of experience , your skilled craftsmanship will be vital for all tailoring, mending, and alteration needs for guest garments, hotel linens, and associate uniforms. You'll also play a key role in uniform distribution and inventory management, directly contributing to an exceptional guest experience and upholding our brand's reputation for quality. What You'll Do Perform precise alterations and repairs on guest clothing, hotel linens, and uniforms (hems, buttons, mending, resizing). Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines and other tailoring equipment. Ensure quality by inspecting finished items. Manage tailoring supply inventory and coordinate with other departments for item pickup/delivery. Handle guest requests professionally and maintain a clean workspace. Distribute clean uniforms to personnel according to company specifications. Record assigned and unassigned uniforms as they are distributed, returned, or cleaned. Inspect uniforms for damage, removing substandard ones from circulation and issuing replacements. Complete inventory of uniforms and linens as assigned. What We're Looking For Experience: 1-4 years as a tailor/seamstress, preferably in hospitality. Skills: Proficiency with sewing machines, various tailoring techniques, strong attention to detail, and good communication. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; formal tailoring training is a plus.
