Merchandiser Garment Construction (High Fashion Women's and Kids wear)

As a Merchandiser cum Designer for Western Apparels at Samshk, you will be responsible for leading the merchandising team to optimize the buying cycle and ensure timely fulfillment of products. Your role will involve collaborating with vendors, clients, and cross-functional teams, as well as training and mentoring team members. To excel in this position, you should have a technical understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and garment manufacturing processes for complex designs. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead the Merchandise team to optimize the buying cycle and improve procurement strategy - Ensure on-time fulfillment by launching all products on the launch date - Share detailed tech packs and quality standards with vendors - Monitor supplier performance, conduct audits, and address non-compliance issues - Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators and sourcing metrics - Train and mentor team members to ensure a high level of performance - Evaluate new tools and technologies to automate processes and reporting - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing activities with production plans **Qualifications Required:** - Past experience in managing production or sourcing, ideally 2+ years - Bachelor's Diploma/Degree in Fashion Technology or engineering in textile technology - Exceptional understanding of garment manufacturing operations and processes - Technical understanding of pattern and fit development of garments; knowledge of AUTO CAD preferred - Merchandise sourcing knowledge with experience in sample development and offshore production - Knowledge of advanced Excel and data visualization tools - Digitally savvy and adept at implementing new technologies and tools If you are an enterprising individual with the required technical skills and experience, and are passionate about the fashion industry, we encourage you to share your resume with us at hr@samshek.com.
