Assistant Merchandiser

As a Merchandiser cum designer specializing in Western-Apparels, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the buying cycle and streamlining the garment manufacturing process. Your technical understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and garment manufacturing will be essential for the successful execution of this role. Additionally, your knowledge of US sizes, fabrics, and pattern composition will be highly beneficial. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the Merchandise team to optimize the buying cycle - Optimize current processes or set up new processes to enhance procurement strategy and ensure timely production cycles - Ensure on-time fulfillment, a primary KRA for this role, by coordinating with operations managers and suppliers for capacity planning and production scheduling - Share detailed tech packs and quality standards with vendors for coordination and development sampling - Monitor supplier performance, conduct audits, and address non-compliance issues - Collaborate with clients to ensure accurate design packages - Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and sourcing metrics - Train and mentor team members for professional growth and high performance - Conduct training and development of vendor quality teams to optimize quality and time - Evaluate new tools and technologies to automate processes and reporting - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing activities with production plans and business goals Qualifications Required: - Minimum 2 years of experience in managing production or sourcing - Bachelor's Diploma/Degree in Fashion Technology or Textile Engineering - Exceptional understanding of garment manufacturing operations and processes - Technical knowledge of pattern and fit development, preferably with AutoCAD skills - Merchandise sourcing knowledge with experience in sample development and offshore production - Proficiency in advanced Excel and data visualization tools - Digitally savvy with the ability to implement new technologies and tools If you are an enterprising individual with a passion for Western-Apparels and possess the necessary technical expertise, we encourage you to share your resume with us at hr@samshek.com.,
