Role Summary :

Key Responsibilities

Technical Development & Architecture :

• Design, develop, and maintain our core branding website using a combination of WordPress (for content management and front-end) and custom CodeIgniter applications (for complex backend functionalities, data processing, or member areas).
• Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that can handle high traffic volumes.
• Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code following best practices.
• Integrate with a wide array of third-party marketing and analytics tools (e.g., CRM like HubSpot/Salesforce, Marketing Automation platforms, Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager, personalization engines).
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility, mobile responsiveness, and optimal website speed.
  

Marketing & Brand Collaboration

• Work directly with the Marketing, Brand, and Content teams to translate marketing requirements (e.g., landing pages, campaign microsites, A/B tests) into technical solutions.
• Implement and advise on SEO best practices at a technical level (e.g., site structure, schema markup, page speed optimization, canonical tags).
• Manage and optimize the website's infrastructure for lead capture and user journey mapping.
• Utilize knowledge of digital marketing to suggest and implement technical features that enhance user engagement and conversion rates.
  

Website Management & Strategy

• Take full ownership of the company's primary branding website.
• Plan and execute website migrations, major version updates, and platform enhancements with minimal downtime.
• Implement robust security protocols to protect the site from vulnerabilities.
• Manage hosting environments, perform regular backups, and ensure disaster recovery plans are in place.
• Monitor website performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively recommend improvements.
  

Leadership & Mentorship

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Manage relationships with external agencies or freelancers when necessary.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for the platform.
  

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 8-10 years of professional web development experience.
• Extensive experience with WordPress : Deep understanding of custom theme development (from scratch), plugin architecture, the Gutenberg block editor, ACF etc.
• Extensive experience with CodeIgniter : Strong proficiency in MVC architecture, building custom libraries, helpers, and secure application logic.
• Proven Portfolio : Must have directly managed or been the lead developer for the branding website of a recognized, large company (B2B or B2C). Be prepared to share examples and discuss your specific contributions.
  

Marketing Acumen

• Demonstrable experience working closely with marketing teams.
• Strong understanding of SEO principles, analytics, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
• Experience integrating with CRMs, CDPs, and email marketing platforms.
  

Technical Proficiency

• Expert in PHP, JavaScript , HTML5, CSS3/SASS.
• Strong database skills (MySQL).
• Proficient with version control (Git), and command-line deployment.
  

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
