Freelance Finance Analyst

Flexing It has partnered with a leading FMCG client who is looking for a Consultant for Financial Planning & Analysis

Key Responsibilties:

• Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
• Perform variance analysis and provide insights into key financial metrics, trends, and drivers.
• Collaborate with business units to analyze financial data and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and revenue growth.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Support month-end and quarter-end financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Conduct scenario analysis to assess financial risks and opportunities.
• Assist in developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and tracking financial performance against benchmarks.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (operations, sales, marketing, etc.) to align financial goals with business strategy.
• Implement process improvements and automation to enhance financial reporting efficiency.
• Stay updated with market trends, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices

Note: This is a 6-months onsite project based out of Mumbai and requires full time capacity.

Skills Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a related role.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and forecasting.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with financial software such as SAP, -Hyperion, Anaplan, or similar tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Experience in process automation and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.
