Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager

Role Purpose

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of fundamental Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
  • Prepare leadership-level reports on financial performance.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data, perform variance analysis, and identify key drivers influencing business performance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare and gather data for financial assessments and scenario analysis.
  • Support rate case filing processes.
  • Create Budget-to-Actual for Balance Sheet and P&L.
  • Upload and manage data in Hyperion.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis.
  • Present overall performance reports to senior management.
  • Identify business impact opportunities and implement improvements.
  • Work closely with leadership on business growth initiatives.

Technical Capabilities / Skills

Mandatory Skills

  • Preparation of MIS reports and dashboards.
  • Leading periodic review calls with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong SLA & KPI management.
  • Escalation management and performance management experience.
  • Good understanding of IFRS.
  • Handling internal and external audits.
  • Identifying process gaps and proposing solutions.
  • Exposure to financial analysis.
  • Experience in managing customer floor walks.

Desirable Skills

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Train-the-Trainer certification.
  • KT/Transition experience.
  • Cross-functional training experience.
  • Ability to generate potential business development leads.

Systems Knowledge

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Knowledge of Excel Macros and MS Access Database creation.
  • Experience with Oracle, FI, PeopleSoft, Essbase, Hyperion, etc.

Communication & Soft Skills

  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers.
  • Empathy and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle pressure and difficult conversations.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • High energy, self-driven, accountable, and strategic thinker.

Analytical, Organizational & Business Skills

  • Strong analytical and observation skills.
  • Good time management and ownership of tasks.
  • Works well under pressure and meets SLAs/deadlines.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • 15+ years overall finance experience with minimum 11+ years in FP&A.
  • Expertise in variance analysis and business case decision support.
