Financial Controller (Microsoft GP)

Profile - Financial Controller Experience: Microsoft Dynamics GP (Minimum 7 years Mandatory) Location - Remote Work (WFH) Job Description: *Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP). Oversee the preparation and submission of financial reports to senior management, and auditors. Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to improve financial performance. *Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Monitor budget performance and analyze variances, providing recommendations for corrective actions. Coordinate with departmental heads to ensure alignment between financial forecasts and operational goals. *Cash Flow Management: Ensure efficient cash flow management, including timely collections, disbursements, and management of working capital. Develop strategies to optimize cash flows and manage liquidity. Internal Controls and Compliance: Maintain and enhance the internal control environment to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity. Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, accounting standards, and other regulatory requirements. Lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and addressing any audit findings. *Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and mentor the finance and accounting team, ensuring effective performance and development. Provide training to staff on financial processes, accounting principles, and software systems. *Strategic Financial Planning: Work closely with the senior management team to provide financial insights for strategic decision-making. Support M&A activities, financial modelling, and capital structure planning as required. Provide financial projections for potential new projects or investments. *Tax Planning and Management: Oversee tax planning and compliance, ensuring timely filing of returns and minimizing tax liabilities. Ensure the company maximizes available tax credits and incentives. Systems and Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve accounting systems and processes for greater efficiency and accuracy. Implement best practices for financial management and reporting.
