Financial Controller

Job Title: Finance Controller Location: Candolim, Goa Industry: Luxury Hospitality (5-Star Hotel) Experience Required: 15+ years (with a strong background in hospitality finance) About the Role: We are seeking a seasoned Finance Controller with a minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry to lead and manage the financial operations of our luxury 5-star property in Candolim, Goa. This leadership role demands financial acumen, strategic foresight, and a deep understanding of hotel operations. Key Responsibilities: Lead the finance and accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting and robust internal controls. Develop and manage annual budgets , monthly forecasts , and financial plans in coordination with department heads. Oversee cash flow management , cost control , and revenue optimization strategies . Ensure full compliance with all statutory regulations including GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other legal requirements. Prepare timely and accurate financial statements , MIS reports , and variance analysis for the management. Serve as a key advisor to the General Manager and senior leadership on financial planning, investments, and operational strategies. Coordinate with external auditors, government authorities, and financial institutions. Implement and monitor systems to improve productivity, profitability, and risk management. Lead the development and mentoring of the finance team. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Finance/Accounting; CA, CMA, or MBA (Finance) strongly preferred. 15+ years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior finance role in the hospitality sector. Proven track record of financial leadership in a 5-star or luxury hotel environment . In-depth knowledge of hotel accounting systems ( Opera, IDS, Tally, Sun, etc. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Hands-on knowledge of Indian hospitality compliance frameworks and tax regulations.
