About Our Founders:

Bright was founded in 2019 by a founding team from McKinsey’s Banking Practice (Petko Plachkov and Avi Patchava) and InMobi Data Scientist (Avi Patchava, Varun Modi, Avinash Ramakath, Jayashree Merwade)

Objective

We are looking for a FinOps Manager with deep expertise in financial operations within the FinTech or Payments ecosystem. This role is critical to managing complex end-to-end reconciliations, fund flows, settlements, and money movement across banking and partner networks. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalability in a high-growth, transaction-heavy environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end reconciliations across banks, payment gateways, merchants, and internal systems.
• Manage fund transfers and settlements (T+0/T+1) with banks, merchants, and networks.
• Drive fund management and liquidity planning to ensure seamless operations and working capital efficiency.
• Create and maintain SOPs, policies, and process documentation for compliance and audit readiness.
• Monitor money movement across multiple accounts (ACH, escrow, settlement, operating accounts).
• Implement controls to prevent revenue leakage, failed payments, and reconciliation breaks.
• Collaborate with Product and Tech teams to automate reconciliations and fund flow systems.
• Lead the development of dashboards and reports on fund movement, delays, exceptions, and variances.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, and payment networks for smooth audits and compliance checks.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 8–15 years in FinOps, Treasury, or Financial Operations, ideally within FinTech, Payments, or Banking.
• Strong background in reconciliation, settlement ops, fund flow, and money movement controls.
• Hands-on with payment gateways, ACH/NACH, escrow structures, and settlement cycles.
• Experience in drafting financial policies, SOPs, and standardizing processes.
• Deep knowledge of digital payments infrastructure, banking systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, detail orientation, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Tech, Compliance, and Risk.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
