Job Description

 Objective of a Field Sales Executive • To generate revenue by selling products/services directly to customers in the field. • To build and maintain customer relationships. • To expand market reach and increase brand visibility. • To achieve or exceed sales targets and KPIs. • To gather and relay market intelligence and competitor information. Daily Tasks Customer Visits -Visit existing and potential clients/customers based on a pre-planned route. Lead Generation -Identify and qualify new sales opportunities in the field. Product Demonstrations- Provide product demos or presentations to clients. Follow-up- Follow up on previous meetings, quotations, or product inquiries. Order Collection- Take and confirm customer orders, ensuring proper documentation. Reporting -Submit daily sales reports (e.g., visits made, deals closed, issues faced). Stock & Display Check- For retail/FMCG – ensure proper product placement and stock levels. Customer Feedback -Collect and report customer insights, complaints, and preferences. Weekly Tasks Sales Review Meetings- Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, targets, and issues. Route Planning -Plan or adjust travel routes and call plans for the upcoming week. Prospecting -Research and add new potential leads to the pipeline. Sales Funnel Review -Track progress of leads through the funnel and take action where stuck. Competitor Monitoring -Observe and report competitors' activities in the territory. Training/Skill Development -Attend brief product or sales skills sessions if scheduled. Monthly Tasks Target Achievement Review -Analyze performance against monthly targets and KPIs. Market Analysis Report -Compile feedback and trends from the field into a report. Client Account Review -Review key accounts for satisfaction, growth opportunities, or issues. Sales Forecasting -Collaborate with sales manager to forecast future sales. Expense Reconciliation -Submit monthly travel and field expenses. CRM Update -Ensure all client data, contact details, and interactions are up-to date. Territory Assessment -Evaluate current territory coverage and plan for better penetration.
