Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and innovative Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager to lead and oversee all food and beverage operations at Gokulam Grand Trivandrum. The F&B Manager will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service, quality, and profitability in all F&B outlets, including restaurants, bars, banqueting, and in-room dining. This role demands a high level of leadership, strategic planning, and operational expertise to elevate guest experiences and drive revenue growth while maintaining the hotel's standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operations of all F&B outlets, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery across all areas, including restaurants, bars, in-room dining, and banquet facilities.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and motivate a team of F&B staff, including supervisors, chefs, and support staff. Conduct regular training and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of service.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure that all guest interactions with the F&B outlets are of the highest quality. Handle guest complaints and feedback with professionalism and ensure resolutions are achieved promptly.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the F&B budget, controlling costs and maximizing profitability. Monitor stock levels, reduce wastage, and manage the financial performance of the F&B department.
  • Menu Planning and Development: Work with the Executive Chef and culinary team to create seasonal menus that align with current trends and customer preferences. Ensure a variety of food and beverage options that meet the standards of the hotel.
  • Inventory and Stock Control: Ensure timely ordering, stock rotation, and proper storage of all F&B products. Work closely with the purchasing department to manage inventory and control costs.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all food and beverage activities comply with local health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and hygiene standards. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of all relevant F&B legislation.
  • Event Management: Oversee the planning and execution of events and banquets, ensuring that client requirements are met and that all events run smoothly, within budget, and on time.
  • Sales & Marketing: Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to promote F&B offerings through various channels and develop new revenue-generating initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A post-graduate qualification or relevant certifications would be an added advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in food and beverage management in a luxury hotel or restaurant environment, with at least 5 years in a managerial role in Business class hotel.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Customer-Centric: A keen understanding of luxury service standards and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong skills in budget management, cost control, and financial forecasting.
  • Innovative Thinking: Ability to think creatively and introduce new concepts, menus, and ideas to enhance guest experience and drive revenue.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with an eye for detail to maintain quality and operational standards.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English & Malayalam is required. Knowledge of Hindi would be a plus.
  • IT Skills: Familiarity with F&B management software and MS Office applications.

Work Environment

  • Full-time position based in Trivandrum, Kerala.
  • The role requires flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays based on operational requirements.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹780,000.00 per year
