Job Description

Job Purpose:

To oversee and manage all factory operations in a chemical manufacturing environment, ensuring production efficiency, quality standards, safety compliance, timely delivery, and effective team management.

Key Responsibilities:1. Production Management

  • Plan, organize, and control production schedules to meet output and quality targets.
  • Ensure optimal use of resources (materials, manpower, machines).
  • Monitor daily production reports and resolve operational issues.

2. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all operations comply with statutory safety, health, and environmental regulations (such as Factories Act, Pollution Control Board norms, etc.).
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Implement and enforce proper safety practices and use of PPE.

3. Quality Assurance

  • Coordinate with the QC department to maintain quality standards.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions in case of deviations or non-conformities.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, GMP, and other industry norms.

4. Inventory & Maintenance

  • Ensure availability of raw materials, consumables, and spares for uninterrupted production.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance with the maintenance team.
  • Monitor plant machinery and equipment efficiency.

5. Manpower Management

  • Supervise and lead the factory workforce including supervisors, operators, and technicians.
  • Schedule shifts, manage attendance, and resolve grievances.
  • Train and develop staff to improve skills and productivity.

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain production records, batch manufacturing records (BMRs), safety logs, and other documentation as required.
  • Report to management on production KPIs, downtime, safety incidents, and improvements.

7. Coordination

  • Liaise with Purchase, Sales, Quality, and R&D departments for smooth operations.
  • Coordinate with external agencies during inspections or audits.

Key Requirements:Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • Additional certification in industrial safety or factory management is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in managing factory operations in a chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in handling teams and ensuring production targets with quality and safety.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO, GMP, and EHS standards.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Effective communication and coordination abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
