Job Description

Manage the mechanical and electrical design for new data centers to fit the standard SoftLayer deploymentManage the electrical fit-out process all the way down to the rack connection point on the data center floor so operations teams can begin deploying servers Manage, track and report progress on multiple projects simultaneously Ensure electrical and mechanical loads are designed to be balanced with proper redundancy Manage electrical installation commissioning process to SoftLayer standards Conduct bid process and recommend successful bidder Perform budget preparation and tracking Validate project invoices prior to processingKnowledge of data center critical infrastructure functionality required Required education Bachelor's Degree Preferred education High School Diploma/GED Required technical and professional expertise High School Diploma/GED At least 2 year’s experienceinmanaging, tracking and reporting progress on multiple projects simultaneously. Readiness to travel 25% travel annually EnglishFluent Preferred technical and professional experience Bachelor's Degree At least 5 year’s experienceinmanaging, tracking and reporting progress on multiple projects simultaneously At least 2 year’s experienceinmanaging the mechanical and electrical design for new data centers At least 2 year’s experienceinknowledge of data center critical infrastructure functionality
