Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage complete export documentation

    , including:
  • Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin
  • Certificate of Analysis (COA), Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
  • Dangerous Goods Declaration (if applicable)
  • Bills of Lading and other required shipping documents
  • Ensure compliance with international chemical regulations

    such as:
  • REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals)
  • IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) Code
  • Export Control Laws and DGFT guidelines
  • Coordinate with internal departments

    (Production, QA/QC, Stores, Finance) to ensure product readiness and accurate documentation for export shipments.
  • Classify products under the correct HS Codes

    and apply appropriate INCOTERMS for all international shipments.
  • Liaise with international customers

    for order confirmations, shipping instructions, documentation requirements, and shipment tracking.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners

    , including freight forwarders, customs brokers (CHA), shipping lines, and transporters to ensure smooth dispatch and clearance of goods.
  • Ensure safe and compliant packaging and labeling

    of chemical products in accordance with international safety and transport standards.
  • Submit export and import documents

    in a timely manner to banks, customs, DGFT, and other relevant authorities.
  • Apply for relevant export licenses

    , EPCG schemes, and other export incentives as applicable under DGFT policies.
  • Manage payment documentation

    , including Letters of Credit (L/C), Advance Payments, and Bank Transfers, in compliance with export finance regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records

    of all exports and imports, including digital and physical filing of documentation.
  • Generate and submit timely MIS reports

    related to exports, shipments, compliance, and costs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, International Business, or related field

  • 5-10 years of experience in export operations in the chemical or related industry.

  • Knowledge of international regulatory bodies and compliance procedures (REACH, IMDG, etc.) is preferred

  • Certification in Export-Import Management.
