About the Organization:

Astral Ltd a 25-year-old company is having a huge brand presence across India with multiple product portfolios like Pipes, Adhesives, Paints & Bathware & Sanitaryware. We have more than 13 plants across India and aboard where our world class products are manufactured.

Astral is known to build large brands & in similar manner, Astral aims to build a large brand in Paints business with the brand of Astral Paints.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle day-to-day industrial relations (IR) activities at the plant level.

Maintain healthy relations between management and workers/unions.

Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, Factory Act, Contract Labour Act, Shops & Establishment Act, and other statutory regulations.

Liaise with government authorities (Labour Department, Factory Inspector, PF, ESIC, etc.) for statutory compliances, inspections, and audits.

Manage grievance handling and disciplinary matters in line with company policy and legal requirements.

Assist in negotiations and settlements with trade unions (if applicable).

Ensure timely submission of statutory returns and maintenance of registers under various labour laws.

Support in drafting notices, circulars, disciplinary letters, and settlement agreements.

Maintain harmonious employee relations by conducting regular communication meetings, counselling sessions, and engagement initiatives.

Monitor and manage contract labour compliances including wage disbursement, attendance, and contractor records.

Support HR team in manpower planning, recruitment at plant level, and employee welfare activities.

Keep updated with changes in labour laws applicable in Gujarat and ensure their timely implementation.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of labour laws & IR practices in Gujarat.

Good communication & negotiation skills.

Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.

Ability to work closely with unions, contractors, and government officials.

Proactive approach with attention to compliance.
