Role Overview:

ETL Developer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs using
IBM Datastage
.
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and data modelers to translate requirements into scalable ETL solutions.
Write and optimize complex
SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts
for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
Conduct
data quality checks
, troubleshoot issues, and perform
performance tuning
of Datastage jobs and SQL queries.
Support
data migration, batch processing, and real-time integration
projects.
Prepare and maintain
technical documentation, mappings, and workflows
.
Provide
production support
by monitoring, debugging, and resolving ETL/data-related issues.
Ensure
data delivery meets enterprise standards
and business expectations.

Required Skills & Experience:

4+ years of hands-on ETL development using
IBM Datastage
.
Strong expertise in
SQL/PL-SQL
and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, etc.).
Proven experience in
ETL performance tuning, error handling, and optimization
.
Solid understanding of
data warehousing concepts
(star/snowflake schemas, data modeling basics).
Familiarity with job scheduling tools (
Control-M, Autosys, or similar
).
Proficiency in
Unix/Linux shell scripting
for automation and integration.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for complex data issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
